CHECK OUT Our STRIKING New Look

We’ve changed the look of our labels at Toyin’s Kitchen, it’s been a long time in the making but I am so proud to share our new look with you all. I hope you like them as much as we do.
How it started
Actually the first name of my sauces was called TOP Sauce which was an acronym for Tomatoes, Onions & Peppers. Smart eh? I got a lot of feedback from family and friends. I took that on board and then changed my labels to…
I liked those labels but i still wanted something more, something different but I didn't know what it was. I kept looking at different designs until that day when everything worked out quite unexpectedly!

All the graphic designs for Toyin’s Kitchen have been produced by a dear friend called Hiromi. She has been so patient with me over the years and has supported me along this journey (she actually deserves a medal!). One saturday afternoon, we were looking at label designs and in the process some water splashed on one of the mock up jars. However when the label dried, it left marks on the label which reminded me of a material we have in Nigeria called Adire. Adire is predominantly worn by the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, Adire means tye and dye.

This inspired me so much that I really wanted my label to have a bold and recognisable connection to my Nigerian heritage. We really love our new labels and we have been so excited to share them with you.
